This accident occurred on March 17 about 11:30AM. We were called by a local official to come quickly, and we did – arriving to the scene in under 2 minutes with a distance of 3km, 2 of which is a very rough road with large potholes and rocks. Some of the villagers got impatient and took the man without any backboard or oxygen just before we got to the scene, and we later found out en route they ended up breaking his already fractured leg.
We are now working on village education about what to do in an emergency: when to help, and when to wait for the ambulance. Proper care saves lives while ignorance and haste make those lives much more miserable.
