We received an urgent call from the Cave Temple abbot to come and help one of his workers who was unconscious, and not breathing. After burning rubber and flying over potholes on the dirt road to the temple, we and our other unit RM1 reached the patient, and initiated CPR for over 10 minutes. After no signs of resuscitation we called the doctor and police chief to come. The patient had already been having chest pain for over an hour before we were notified, and by that time CPR and medication could have no effect. RM1 transferred the patient directly to Pahon Hospital, where it was transferred to Bangkok, and then on to Chonburi, Thailand. The deceased has only one living family member.
